Florence W. (nee Weaver) Bearoff passed away peacefully on Monday, August 24, 2009 at her home in Wayne, PA. She was 89. Mrs. Bearoff was formerly of Lancaster, PA. She graduated from Manheim Twp. High School and was a former Miss Lancaster. She served in the American Red Cross during World War II. Florence worked as an executive assistant for the former Alan Wood Steel Company for many years. She also enjoyed spending time in Florida and Cape May, where she loved to play golf and paint. During the course of her life, she and her husband traveled extensively throughout Europe. Born in Lancaster, PA on October 25, 1919, she was the daughter of the late Roy D. and Edith M. (Jamison) Weaver. She was the beloved wife of the late Charles C. Bearoff, who died in June of 2009. She is survived by her sister, Virginia W. Hardenbergh of Haddonfield, NJ along with many nephews and nieces. She was preceded in death by a brother, Robert J. Weaver and sisters, Mary Ellen Earnst and Clyde Merrill. Relatives and friends are invited to her Prayer Service at The Bacchi-Courtney Funeral Home & Crematory, Ltd., 805 DeKalb St. (Rt. 202), Bridgeport, PA 19405 on Monday, August 31, 2009 at 11:00am. Friends may call from 10 to 10:50am, at the funeral home. Interment will follow in Valley Forge Memorial Gardens, King of Prussia, PA.
