Florence M. Finley, 96, of Dresher, PA, passed away Saturday, December 19th, peacefully. Florence was born in Glenside, PA on December 20, 1923, a daughter of the late Eleanor M. (Price) and John J. Finley. Florence was in the graduating class of 1938 from St. Luke the Evangelist Grade School in Glenside. Upon Graduating from the class of 1942 from Abington High School, Florence went to work for Penn Mutual Ins. Co. starting as a clerk and moved up to an officer in the personnel Department. After retiring in 1983, Florence became a volunteer for the Red Cross of Southeastern PA., where she coordinated blood drives and received many awards for her service to the Red Cross. She was a lifetime and active member of St. Luke’s parish in Glenside, and was a strong woman of Faith, Family and Friends. Beloved sister of the late Patricia E., John J., George M. and Sr. Agnes Eileen, SSJ. Loving aunt to Steve (Mary), Bob Diane) and Matt Finley (Debbie). She is also survived by 11 Grand Nieces and Nephews and 24 Great Grand Nieces and Nephews. Relatives and friends are invited to her Viewing from 10 to 10:45 AM and a Funeral Mass will be celebrated at 11 AM both on Tuesday, December 22, 2020 at St. Luke the Evangelist Church 2316 Fairhill Ave. in Glenside, PA. The use of masks and social distancing will be observed. Her Interment will be at Holy Sepulchre Cemetery, PA. In lieu of flowers , remembrances may be made to St. Luke the Evangelist Church.
