Florence Ellen McHugh Florence Ellen. (nee Rossiter), of Hatboro, PA died April 3, 2017 at Holy Redeemer Hospital Hospice. She was 83. Beloved wife of the late James J. Daughter of the late George and Rose Scully Rossiter. She was the dedicated Mother of James Craig (Debra), Kathleen and Jeffrey. Grandmother of Jaclyn, Patrick, Jennifer and Kelli and Great Grandmother of Kayla and Nicholas. Florence attended St. Michael’s in Philadelphia and John W. Hallahan Catholic Girls High School in Philadelphia graduating in 1951. Worked in many firms, the last one being Schifmann & Hughes Accounting firm in Blue Bell as a bookkeeper. She was a secretary of the Upper Moreland Booster Club 1973 & 1974. She was a volunteer collector for the Santa visit for many years and also a Pro-Life Archdiocese representative for fifteen years and a member of the Southeastern Pro-Life from 1992 to 2007. Florence joined the Timoney Irish dancers with her husband Jim and marched in many Philadelphia and Hatboro parades and they all went to Ireland in 1991 to march in the parade. Jim and Florence also traveled to Mexico in 1962 and Ireland in 1984. Together they also owned a boat “Summer Place” for fifteen years. They were members of St. John Bosco Church since 1957. Relatives and friends are invited to her viewing on Saturday, April 8th, at 9:30 AM at St. John Bosco Church, 215 E. County Line Rd., Hatboro followed by her Funeral Mass at 10:30 AM. Interment ST. John Neumann Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, remembrances in Florence’s name may be made to the Pro-Life Union, 88 Pennsylvania Ave., Oreland, PA. 19075 or the Hospice at Holy Redeemer Hospital, 1648 Huntingdon Pike, Meadowbrook, PA. 19046.
