Florence D. (DeStefano) Picard passed away peacefully on Sunday, January 5, 2014, surrounded by her loving family at her son's residence in East Norriton, PA. She was 88. Mrs. Picard lived with her son, John, for the past 10 years and was a former resident of King of Prussia, PA. She was a member of Our Lady of Mount Carmel Church in Bridgeport, PA. Born in Lewistown, PA on October 12, 1925, she was a daughter of the late Dominic and Fabiana (DelFiaco) DeStefano and the step-daughter of the late Antonio Gentile. She was the wife of the late Alphonso J. Picard, who died in 1996. Surviving is her loving family including three sons: Alphonso J. "Al" Picard, Jr. and his wife, Rosalie, of E. Norriton, PA, Gary P. Picard and his wife, Dee, of King of Prussia, PA and John J. Picard and his wife, Lorraine, of E. Norriton, PA; four grandchildren: Jenny (Bill), Kim (Morrie), Johnny and Joseph; five step-grandchildren: Johnny, Jen, Jason, Jordan and Morrie; three great-grandchildren: Mikai, Giovanni and Ayrianna; and many nephews and nieces. She was preceded in death by a brother, John DeStefano and a sister, Philomena "Flo" Picard. Relatives & friends are invited to Florence's Funeral Mass at Our Lady of Mount Carmel Church, 502 Ford St., Bridgeport, PA 19405 on Thursday, January 9, 2014 at 10:30 am. Her viewing is Thursday from 9 to 10:20 am, at the church.
