Florence Marie Schmidt

Florence M. Schmidt (nee Higgins), age 88 of North Wales, passed away on April 19, 2018. Born in Philadelphia, PA to the late Joseph and Helen (nee O’Brien) Higgins. Florence was married to the late Francis Schmidt. She was also preceded in death by her daughter, Susan Peoples; son-in-law, James Concannon; sisters, Margaret Crosson and Helene Dixey; and her brother, James Higgins. Florence is survived by her children, Francis (Carol), James Peoples, Paul (Gerry), Joseph (Cathy), Anne Concannon, and Robert; 13 grandchildren, James, Andrew, Julie, Devin, Brenden, Alex, Matt, Katie, Lauren, Tommy, Emily, Bobby, and Johnny; 7 great grandchildren; and brothers, Jack Higgins and Francis Higgins. Relatives and friends are invited to attend Florence’s funeral mass on Friday, April 27, 2018 at 11:00 am at Corpus Christi Catholic Church 900 Sumneytown Pike Lansdale, PA 19446. Calling hours will be before mass from 9:30-10:50am at Corpus Christi. Interment will be private and at the convenience of the family. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Sacred Heart Home 1315 W. Hunting Park Ave. Philadelphia, PA 19140. Arrangements entrusted to Joseph J. McGoldrick Funeral Home.
