Frances V. (Schwemmer) Heidel

Frances V. (Schwemmer) Heidel passed away suddenly on Tuesday, October 16, 2012 at Paoli Hospital in Paoli, PA. She was 82. Mrs. Heidel was a resident of Jeffersonville, PA. She worked as a telephone operator at the Montgomery County Courthouse in Norristown, PA, until her retirement in 1995. Frances was a former member of St. Patrick's Church in Norristown, PA. She enjoyed reading, crossword puzzles and making Christmas wreaths and holiday decorations. Most of all, Frances loved the company of her family.Born in Norristown, PA on May 7, 1930, she was a daughter of the late Martin J. Schwemmer, Sr. and Elizabeth M. (Estock) Schwemmer. She was the wife of the late Arthur R. Heidel, Sr., who died in 1996. Surviving is her loving family including 3 sons: Arthur R. Heidel, Jr. and his wife, Frances, Martin S. Heidel and James Heidel, all of Jeffersonville, PA; 3 daughters: Deborah A. Mullen and her husband, Richard, of Jeffersonville, PA, Diane M. Heidel of Linfield, PA and Mary F. McGlinchey and her husband, Shawn, of Jeffersonville, PA; a step-son, Frank Heidel and his wife, Phyliss, of Wernersville, PA; 10 grandchildren: Richard, Brian, Jared, Laura, Virginia, Kathryn, Diana, Anastasia, Sarah and Shawn; 2 step-grandchildren, Scott and Matthew; 13 great-grandchildren; a brother, James Schwemmer and his wife, Joan, of Jeffersonville, PA; a sister, Regina Decker of Limerick, PA; and many nephews and nieces. She was preceded in death by a daughter, Elizabeth Heidel; a grandson, Erich Pascavage; a brother, Martin Schwemmer; and a sister, Elizabeth Furlong. Relatives and friends are invited to Frances' Funeral Service at The Bacchi Funeral Home and Crematory, Ltd., 805 DeKalb St. (Rt. 202) Bridgeport, PA 19405 on Friday, October 19, 2012 at 10:30 am. Her viewing is Friday from 9 to 10:20 am, at the funeral home.
