Frances Jean (Frank) Metzger was born on October 9, 1925 to Harry W. Frank and Mary Frank (Longacre) of Center Square, PA. She passed away peacefully on January 4, 2022 at Parkhouse Nursing and Rehabilitation Center. She was 96 years old. She was the sister of the late Marion Frank Beideman (Robert), Lansdale, PA, and the late Florence Frank, of Center Square, PA., wife of the late Harry C. Metzger, Jr. and step mother of the late Carol Waltimyer (Metzger) of Zieglerville, PA. Jean is survived by step sons, Dennis Metzger (Cathy) of West Chester, PA and Keith Metzger (Sandra) of Trappe, PA. 7 grandchildren; Jonathan Metzger of Schwenksville, PA, Alexis (Metzger) Delude (Anthony) of Harleysville, Deirdra (Metzger)Zielinski (Greg) of Whitehall, PA, Jared Metzger (Victoria) of Alexandria, VA, Ian Metzger of Charlotte, NC, Melissa (Waltimyer) Meisel (Nicole) of Philadelphia, PA, Laurel Ziegler of Harleysville, PA, and 5 great grandchildren; Taylor Delude, Vivian Delude of Harleysville, PA and Clara Zielinski and Travis Zielinski of Whitehall, PA, Parker Metzger of Alexandria, PA, nephews, Jeffrey Beideman, Schwenksville, PA, and Richard Beideman (Barbara), Pittsburgh, PA. Jean grew up in Center Square, PA and moved to Collegeville, PA when she married her beloved husband of 51 years, the late Harry C. Metzger, Jr. After helping to raise her 3 step children, she retired with her husband, Harry to Lady Lake, Florida. During that time, she was very active in the community with New Life Presbyterian Church and playing golf and cards with the ladies of the community. They resided there for 25 years of restful retirement. She returned to Pennsylvania with her husband, Harry in 2014. She was a lifelong member of Lower Providence Presbyterian Church of Eagleville, PA. Jean was an active member of the church with Woman’s Circle, the church choir and a long time Sunday School teacher. Jean worked at Metropolitan Life Insurance Company right out of high school for many years, then she went to work at Fluid Power, Inc. until she retired in 1990. Jean lived her life with much love for her family and God, she will be missed. A service to celebrate Jean’s life will be conducted Saturday, January 29th, at the Lower Providence Presbyterian Church in Eagleville, PA. The family will receive guests beginning at 10am, a service will follow at 11am. In lieu of flowers the family asks that you make donations to Lower Providence Presbyterian Church.
