Francesca Badalamenti

Francesca Badalamenti passed away peacefully on Friday, January 23, 2015, surrounded by her loving family at ManorCare Health Services in King of Prussia, PA. She was 85. Mrs. Badalamenti was a resident of Bridgeport, PA. She worked as a seamstress for 40 years for H. Freeman & Son in Philadelphia, PA. Francesca was a member of the former Our Lady of Mount Carmel Church in Bridgeport. She enjoyed gardening, knitting, cooking, and baking. Born in Carini, Italy on June 8, 1929, she was a daughter of the late Joseph and Antonina (Pagano) Badalamenti. Surviving is her loving family including a daughter, Francesca Amore and her husband, Efrain Rolon of Swedesburg, PA; two grandchildren, Kaitlyn Groarke and John Groarke, III; a step-grandson, Elias Sepulveda; two brothers, Agostino Badalamenti and his wife, Caterina and Anthony Badalamenti and his wife, Phyillis; two sisters, Maria Inzone and her husband, Giacomo and Caterina Tosco; and many other loving family members. She was preceded in death by a brother, Joseph Badalamenti; and a sister, Rosa Cucuzza. Relatives and friends are invited to Francesca's Funeral Mass at the Our Lady of Mount Carmel Worship Site, 502 Ford St., Bridgeport, PA on Thursday, January 29, 2015 at 10:30 am. Her viewing is Thursday from 9 to 10:20 am, at the worship site. Interment will follow in Valley Forge Memorial Gardens, King of Prussia, PA. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made in Francesca's memory to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital, 501 St. Jude Place, Memphis, TN 38105.
