Francis X. Klose, Jr., 75, of Elkins Park, PA passed away peacefully on March 30, 2024. Frank was born on October 19, 1948 to the late Mabel (nee Virtue) and Francis X. Klose, Sr. He attended Cardinal Dougherty High School, St. Joseph’s University with a BA in English and Education, Temple University M.Ed. as a Reading Specialist and Penn State University with a certification in Addictions Counseling and a Principal certification.
Frank worked as an English teacher in Camden, NJ, a Reading Specialist, Administrator and Athletic Coach in Centennial School District then as an Adjunct Professor at LaSalle University in the Education Department. He enjoyed writing, reading, listening to music, collecting records and sports memorabilia. He considered himself a Philly Sports “Homer” and a longtime member of St. James Church in Elkins Park.
Frank is survived by his beloved wife Deborah (nee Donzanti). He is the loving father of Francis Klose, III (Megan), and Kristina Erbele (Matthew). Devoted grandfather to Nicholas, Tyler and Katherine. He is also survived by his sister Karen Klose and nephews and a niece; Brian Dunlevy, Brendan, Cameron and Hannah Viehman.
Family will receive relatives and friends Friday, April 5th from 9-10:45 AM followed by his funeral mass at 11 AM both at St. James Church 8320 Brookside Rd. Elkins Park, PA 19027. His interment will be held at Hillside Cemetery.
