Francis X. Lynch, 91, of Jenkintown, PA, formerly of Philadelphia, PA, passed Saturday, July 21st, 2018 while in the company of family, at his residence. . Frank was born in Philadelphia, PA on July 20, 1927, the son of the late Jenny (McKenna) and Joseph Lynch. Frank was the widower of Dolores (Todd) Lynch. He was a former member of St. Cecilia Church and St. Helena Church, both in Philadelphia. He served in the U.S. Navy as an S1c in WW II. He received the AL NAV 161-46 and the Victory Medals and was a longtime member of the VFW. He had been employed as a Court Officer for the city of Philadelphia. Loving father of Frank (Dottie), Marlene Dorsey (Chip), Gerry Schmidt (Paul), Chris (Joanne), Diane Plunkett (Mike), Kevin (Terry), Mark (the late Diane), Terry Maher (Jim) and John (Tina); devoted grandfather of 26 Grandchildren and 22 Great Grandchildren. Relatives and friends are invited to a viewing on Wednesday July 25 from 6-8 PM and on Thursday July 26 from 9- 10 AM both at the Joseph J. McGoldrick Funeral Home 507 West Ave. in Jenkintown. A funeral mass will be celebrated on Thursday at 10:30 AM at Immaculate Conception BVM Church in Jenkintown. His interment will be in Holy Sepulchre Cemetery.
