Francis Joseph Menna

Francis (Frank) Joseph Menna, 80, of Abington, PA passed away peacefully on Wednesday, January 15, 2025 at Sunrise of Abington. Frank was born in Philadelphia, PA on December 23, 1944, son of the late Julia (Mori) and Frank Menna.

Frank served in the U.S. Army Reserves as a Staff Sargent from 1965 -1978. His career with the Philadelphia Common Pleas Court started in 1962 as a Court Representative in the Family Division before transitioning to the Adult Probation/Parole Department as a Probation Officer and later Director of the Victim Services Unit. Frank also held the position of Law Clerk with the Philadelphia District Attorney’s Office from 1991 until his retirement in 2003.

He was the loving father of Julia McKinney (Robert) and Nicole Lachawiec (Stephen). Loving Poppy of Grace, Olivia, Nicholas, Shane, and Samuel. Frank is also survived by his former wife Arlene Eckhardt (George).

Frank was a true gentleman, loved being with his family, especially his grandchildren, and made a friend everywhere he went. He enjoyed the beach, a good drink, and driving his Corvette. Frank always had a smile on his face, lived a life that’s full, and did it his way. He will truly be missed!

Relatives and friends are invited to his visitation Friday, January 24th from 9:15-10:15 AM and to his funeral mass at 10:30 AM both held at Immaculate Conception BVM Church, 606 West Ave. Jenkintown, PA 19046. His interment will be at Holy Sepulchre Cemetery.
