Francis J. Zernone, Sr.

Francis J. Zernone Sr. passed away peacefully on Wednesday, November 19, 2014, surrounded by his loving family at his residence in Bridgeport, PA. He was 59. Mr. Zernone worked as a service technician for Lew's Vending and Arnold's Family Fun Center. He was a member of Bridgeport Fire Co. #1, Swedesburg Fire Co., Goodwill Fire Co., the VFW Post 7878 in King of Prussia and the Norristown Elks. Francis was an avid gardener, a master tinkerer and was known for his sense of humor. Born in Philadelphia, PA on October 5, 1955, he was a son of the late Nicholas V. and Irene F. (Salwach) Zernone. Surviving is his loving family including his wife of 39 years, Margaret (Purr) Zernone; 2 sons, Nicholas V. Zernone, Sr. and his wife, Christie, of Philadelphia, PA and Francis J. Zernone, Jr. of Bridgeport, PA; 2 daughters, Laurie A. Zernone of Norristown, PA and Patricia M. Zernone of Pottstown, PA; 12 grandchildren; 1 great-grandchild; a sister, Nicolina Zernone of Philadelphia, PA; a cousin, Josephine Ziemba of Philadelphia, PA; and many other loving family members. Francis' Memorial Service will be held at The Bacchi Funeral Home and Crematory, Ltd., 805 DeKalb St. (Rt. 202), Bridgeport, PA on Monday, November 24, 2014 at 12noon. The family will receive relatives and friends on Monday from 10 to 11:50 am, at the funeral home.
