Frank Anthony Bednar, Jr.

Frank Anthony Bednar, Jr. passed away peacefully on Friday, June 29, 2018, surrounded by his loving family, at the Hospital of the University of Pennsylvania in Philadelphia, PA. He was 79. Frank was a resident of King of Prussia, PA. He was the owner/operator of Bednar's Auto Repair Shop in King of Prussia. Frank was an US Air Force Veteran. Born in Norristown, PA on April 19, 1939, he was a son of the late Frank A. Bednar, Sr. and Margaret (Hasko) Bednar. He was the husband of the late Louise A. Collins, who died in May of 2011. Surviving are 2 sons, Joseph M. (Laura) Bednar and Frank A. (Kimberly) Bednar, both of King of Prussia; 4 grandchildren: Jenna, Lexi, Taylor and Brandon; a brother, Paul (Margaret) Bednar of Coatesville; 2 sisters, Maryanne (William) Carfrey of Norristown and Paulette Bednar (Jim Ingham) of King of Prussia; and many other loving family members. He was preceded in death by 2 brothers, Thomas (Peggy) and Richard (Elizabeth) Bednar; and many nieces and nephews. Frank’s Memorial Mass will be celebrated at Holy Saviour Church, Main St., Norristown, PA on Friday, July 6, 2018 at 10:00am. The family will receive relatives and friends on Friday from 9 to 9:50 am, at the church. Interment will be private. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Gift of Life Donor Program, 401 North 3rd Street, Philadelphia, PA 19123.
