Frank J. Di Pinto, 92 of Pennsauken, New Jersey, formerly of Philadelphia PA, passed away Thursday, March 21, 2013 peacefully at home surrounded by his daughters. Frank was born in Philadelphia, PA on November 25, 1920, son of the late Antonio and Philomenia DiPinto from Abruzzi Italy. Beloved husband of the late Mary T. Di Pinto (Mahoney) , he was also preceded in death by his sons Francis Joseph Di Pinto and Joseph Anthony Di Pinto; his sisters and brothers Carmella, Susan, Joseph, Anna, Nick, Charles, Jimmy, Josephine and Harry. He is survived by his three daughters Barbara Ann Di Pinto, Diana Delores Christy (William) and Antoinette Esther DiPinto; his grandsons William Francis Christy (Eileen Sutton) and Samuel Matthew Weiner; his sister Esther Napoli along with many special nieces, nephews and family friends. Frank was a World War II Veteran of the United States Army Air Corps where he served in Asia and the South Pacific. Frank retired from Gilmer’s /Uniroyal in (Tacony) Philadelphia, PA after 30+ years. He also worked for Whitman’s Chocolates for several years after retirement. Frank loved, and cared for many stray animals and birds. His hobbies included: sketching, painting, crafts, gardening, cooking and listening to music and shopping at his favorite store, The Dollar Tree. You are our hero, Dad You have been our secure foundation. When we think of you, we are filled with love and fond appreciation. You made us feel protected; We were sheltered by your care. You will always be our true friend; and Dad, When we needed you, you were always there. Your strength and wisdom will have a place of honor deep within our hearts. You have been our superhero, Dad right from the moment we opened our eyes. His interment will be at Our Lady of Grace Cemetery in Langhorne, PA. Services entrusted to Walter J. Meyers Funeral Home.
