Frank A. Pizzi, 77, of Collegeville, PA passed way Tuesday, August 4, 2015 at home after a long battle with heart and lung disease. He was born in Philadelphia, PA on September 15, 1937, a son of the late Suzanna and Frank Pizzi. Frank leaves his wife of 49 years, Jeannette (Scarcelli) Pizzi, his sons, Frank J Pizzi (Rebecca), Michael Pizzi (Alicia) and five grandchildren, Morgan, Amanda, Bennett, Alexa, and Emilia and many close relatives and friends. He was an avid musician, Mr. Pizzi performed countless times over his life at venues around the Philadelphia area. Mr. Pizzi taught numerous students over his life to play saxophone, piano, clarinet and flute. Later in life he self-published a series of books on Jazz Improvisation to pass on his great passion to other musicians. Mr. Pizzi also had a career in the title insurance business, operating Pizzi Realty Search for over 20 years. Relatives and friends are invited to his viewing Sunday evening, August 9th from 7-9 PM at Szpindor-Meyers Funeral Home, located at 101 N. Park Ave (Route 363), Trooper, PA 19403. A second viewing on Monday August 10th from 9 – 9:50 AM followed by a funeral mass at 10am at Visitation BVM Church 196 N. Trooper Rd. Norristown Pa. His entombment will be at St Patrick’s Cemetery in Norristown. Services entrusted to Szpindor-Meyers Funeral Home.
