Mr. Frank R. Tarby, 84, of Elizabethtown, passed away Thursday, August 8th, 2013 peacefully at the Masonic Village in Elizabethtown, PA. Formerly of 1114 Napier St. and 6500 Keystone St. in Philadelphia. Mr. Tarby was born in Philadelphia, PA on June 22, 1929, the son of the late Frank and May (Sauers) Tarby. He served in the U.S. Marines as a Pvt First Class in WW II. Frank worked as a Brick Layer for Local #1 in Philadelphia, PA., for his entire life until 1993. He was a former member of Holy Innocents-St. Paul's Church in Philadelphia., PA. He dearly loved his wife Dorothy with whom he shared 63 years together. He was a devoted family man, a loving father and grandfather. He was a great friend to many. He was a Civil War buff. He loved music, singing and poetry. He was a jokester to the end. He was the widower of Dorothy L. (Adelsberger) Tarby. They were married since 1949, for 63 years, until she passed in August of 2012. He is survived by Daughters: Joan Schweiger (Robert) and Karen Gold (Mark). Grandaughters: Samantha and Nicolette. Also his son, Frank Tarby Jr., (Patricia) and their children Amanda, Eric and Brandon and lastly, Son, Robert P. Tarby. He is also survived by In-Laws Jane Weisen and William Adelsberger (Marge). He was pre-deceased by two sisters.
