Frank L Vargo

Frank J. Vargo Norristown, PA  —  Frank J. Vargo, 49, died late Sunday evening, March 2, at his home after a short battle with Creutzfeldt-Jakob Disease.  He had been under the care of his loving family and Hospice of Jefferson County. Born Dec. 24, 1964, in Norristown, Pa., the son of Frank W. and Helen Ferko Vargo, he graduated from Methacton High School, in Fairview Village, Pa.  Frank was a property manager for the Boardwalk Motel and JVF Properties in Alexandria Bay. As a Boy Scout, Frank reached the prestigious level of Eagle Scout. He was a member of the Alexandria Bay Fire Department, and in 1994, was named “Fireman of the Year”.  He was a former trustee for the Village of Alexandria Bay, and a member of the Alexandria Bay Rotary Club. Frank was an avid outdoorsman. Surviving are his fiancée, Stacie McMurray; his father, Frank W. Vargo; three daughters, Amanda Lynne Vargo, Kathryn Vargo Keen and her husband Christopher Keen, and Selena Miller; three sons are Joshua Johnston, Manny Miller, and Mikel Odle; two grandchildren, Maxwell Keen and Aurora Johnston; and four sisters, Judith Fulmer, Patricia Dill, Sandra Young and Victoria Vargo.  A Funeral Mass will be said 10 a.m. Saturday, April 5, 2014 at Visitation BVM Church, Norristown, Pa. Interment in St. Augustine Cemetery.
