Frederic A. Bearse

Frederic A. Bearse, 74, died on Monday, March 1, 2010 at his home in Devon, PA, following a long illness. Mr. Bearse was surrounded by people who loved him. He was born in Needham, Mass on February 8, 1936. He graduated from Reading High School in Reading, Mass, and then joined the US Navy and sailed with the Mediterranean Fleet for six years. After that he attended night school at Suffolk University in Boston, Mass to gain a B.S. degree while working for the Massachusetts Actuarial Agency. He also attended Suffolk University Law School. Frederic joined Merck & Co., Inc. in 1969 in its sales force. He was always proud that he helped introduce many innovations to the world of medicine that helped so many people, including Lightcast, unique antibacterials and vaccines, as well as cardiovascular and gastrointestinal medicine. He won a number of awards for sales excellence.Surviving are his wife, Sharyn (Bean) Bearse of Devon, PA; a daughter, Pamela Andersen and her husband, Donald; and a son, John Bearse, both of Eastham, Mass. He is also survived by two grandchildren, Christian and Kallandra.Relatives and friends are invited to his Memorial Service at Upper Merion Baptist Church, 585 General Steuben Rd., King of Prussia, PA 19406 on Saturday, March 13, 2010 at 11:30am. Officiating will be the Rev.
