Gayle R. Geckle

Gayle R. (Fortune) Geckle passed away peacefully on Saturday, March 30, 2019 at her residence in Broomall, PA. She was 96. Gayle worked as an administrative assistant. Born in Pottsville, PA on July 19, 1922, she was a daughter of the late Mr. & Mrs. Robert J. Fortune and the wife of the late Joseph Norman Geckle, Sr. Surviving is her loving family including a son, Joseph Norman Geckle, Jr. and his wife, Teri; a daughter Blanch E. Phillips; 3 grandchildren: Catrina Alderfer, T.J. Geckle and Timothy Geckle; and 6 great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by a son-in-law, Richard Phillips; and brother, Robert J. Fortune, Jr. Funeral services and interment will be private at the request of the family.
