Geoffrey Arthur Craig passed away peacefully at the age of 80 after a hard fought battle. He was born on January 31, 1946 in Bradford, England to the late Arthur Craig and Alice L. Harland.

In his youth, Geoff enjoyed rock climbing and hiking in the Yorkshire Dales and spending time with his friends, friendships that would last a lifetime. He worked at English Electric where he served his apprenticeship. Along with his wife, Elaine, and three children, Geoff moved to the United States where they made their home and grew their family with the addition of two more children. Geoff worked at ICI Americas where he formed many lasting friendships before doing the same at Synthes, from where he retired. Geoff enjoyed golfing, fishing, riding his motorcycle, and traveling. Some of his happiest times were the most simple – seeing all five of his children together, spending time with his grandchildren, watching the wildlife in his back yard and trying to rebuild a 1966 Mini Cooper. One of his favorite sayings was “Life is an Adventure, Live It!” He did just that.

Geoffrey is survived by his wife of 59 years, Elaine J. Craig; 5 children, Glenn Craig, Janine Pizza (Joe), Neill Craig (Rachel), Justin Craig (Alicia) and Ryan Craig; 8 grandchildren, Gabriel Craig, Kayla Craig, Joseph Pizza, Gianna Pizza, Ezra Craig, Samantha Craig, Elyse Craig, and Kyle Craig.

He is preceded in death by his sister Doreen Simonson.

A Celebration of Life is being planned for a later date.
