George Charles Searfoss, Ii

September 20, 1965 — September 11, 2024

George Charles Searfoss II (58) died suddenly and tragically in a car accident on Wednesday night, September 11, 2024. A loss greater than words can find for his family, friends, church and community.

George was born on September 20, 1965, to Carl and Lois (“Darlene”) Searfoss. He was the oldest and only brother to Kimberly (Zimmerman) and Rhonda (Reynard). And together they were raised in a home that valued hard work, hospitality and a deep love of God. This shaped the values people saw in George today.

George met his wife, Nancy Reynard, at Abrams Chapel (Hope Community Church) when they were teenagers. They celebrated their 35th wedding anniversary on September 9th of this year, but they’ve been a part of each other's lives for much longer. Their love for each other was so deep. They were each other’s partner and strongest advocate. George and Nancy have three children: Kaitlyn (“Katie” 32), Abigail (“Abbie” 19) and Ethan (19). George loved family time and always was looking for another movie, game, or fire pit together. Their family valued time spent together doing these things or slipping out of town just the five of them to the beach to reconnect.

George was known in the community for being an ambassador of love. He practiced what he preached that “Love Works” and anyone who knew him could share stories of how they witnessed acts of extravagant and unconditional love. This is a loss for the congregation at Hope Community Church in King of Prussia, where he was on staff for 32 years as a pastor, the community at the Love Works Resource Center in King of Prussia, which he dreamed up and created, the first responder community in King of Prussia, where he served as a chaplain, and in the community at large where he was everyone’s neighbor and seemingly everyone’s pastor.

George is survived by his wife Nancy; children, Katie, Abbie and Ethan; his parents, Carl and Darlene; sisters, Kim and Rhonda and their families; Nancy’s parents, Fred and Dori Reynard and her brothers, Don Reynard and Bill Reynard, and their families; and many nieces and nephews who he loved so much.

George deeply loved God, his family, his church, and his community.

And his family, his church and his community deeply loved George.

And we know he is in Heaven with his God, and we trust he is hearing the words, “well done, good and faithful servant.”

A Celebration of Life Service will occur at Hope Community Church (150 E. Beidler Rd, King of Prussia, PA) on Friday, September 27 at 11am.

Visitation with the family will be offered at Hope Church on Thursday, September 26 between 6-8pm and Friday, September 27 at 10-11am before the service.

In honor of George’s life and service, the family asks that in lieu of flowers any charitable donations be made to the Love Works Resource Center. Visit - https://www.loveworksrc.org/ to donate.
