George C. DeFusco passed away peacefully on Thursday, July 13, 2017 at St. Mary Manor in Lansdale, PA. He was 79. Mr. DeFusco was a resident of King of Prussia, PA. He worked as a truck driver for both the Abbotts and Lehigh Valley Dairies. George was a member of Mother of Divine Providence Church in King of Prussia, where he was a Eucharistic Minister and a sacristan for 7 years. He was also a member of the Men of Malvern. Born in Philadelphia, PA on October 8, 1937, he was a son of the late Humbert “Al” and Genevieve (Dalton) DeFusco. Surviving is his loving family including his wife of 56 years, Catherine (Mollo) DeFusco; a son, Gregory G. DeFusco and his wife, Ann, of Chalfont, PA; three grandchildren: Michael, Nicole & Julia DeFusco; two brothers-in-law, Carey Smith and Frank Mollo (wife, Sarah Jane-deceased); sister-in-law Mary Focoso; nephew, Alex Stewart and his wife, Dorothy and niece, Portia Smith. He was preceded in death by brother, Richard DeFusco; sister, Frances Smith; niece, Cindi Smith, nephew, Richard Smith (Lt. Col-USMC). George’s Funeral Mass will be celebrated at Mother of Divine Providence Church, 333 Allendale Rd., King of Prussia, PA on Saturday, July 22, 2017 at 10:30 am. The family will receive relatives and friends on Saturday from 9:30 to 10:20 am, at the church. Interment will be in SS. Peter & Paul Cemetery, Springfield, PA. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made in George’s memory to Mother of Divine Providence Church, 333 Allendale Rd., King of Prussia, PA 19406.
