George "Dan" Downing

George “Dan” Downing passed away peacefully on Friday, January 28 2022 at his home in King of Prussia, PA. He was 75. Dan worked as CFO of ECRI in Plymouth Meeting, PA for 27 years, retiring in 2016. He was a devoted member of Hope Community Church in King of Prussia, PA, where he served as Treasurer for 29 years and was an Elder of the church. Dan was passionate about puzzles, playing games, and napping on the beach in Ocean City, NJ. Born on December 27, 1946 in Mount Vernon, NY, he was the son of the late George “Bud” and Josephine (Richards) Downing. Surviving are his loving family including his wife of 31 years, Jennifer L. (Lear) Downing; a daughter, Heather Giandonato and her husband, Joe; a son, George “Keith” Downing and his wife, Laura; a step-son, Greg Konigsbauer and his wife, Angela; 7 grandchildren: Ryan, Dylan, and Kaitlyn Giandonato, Morgan and Julia Downing, Jack and Charlotte Konigsbauer; a brother, Paul Downing and his wife, Beverly; a sister, Carol Budzinski and her husband, Alex. Dan’s family will receive relatives and friends at Hope Community Church, 150 E. Beidler Rd., King of Prussia, PA 19406 on Saturday, February 12, 2022 from 12:00 to 1:00, with service starting at 1:00. Interment will be private.
