George Robert Foraker, Sr.

George Robert Foraker, Sr. passed away peacefully on Wednesday, June 28, 2017 at his residence in Norristown, PA. He was 67. Mr. Foraker worked as a roofer and a gas station attendant. He enjoyed gardening, listening to country music and drinking with family and friends. George loved going to Caesars casino in Atlantic City until he switched to Valley Forge Casino. Born in Norristown, PA on June 25, 1950, he was a son of the late Frank and Elsie (Fields) Foraker. Surviving is his loving family including his wife, Alice (McKeown) Foraker; 4 sons: George (Jennifer) Foraker, Jr., Kevin (Kara) Foraker, Christian Foraker and Joe (Renee Coleman) Foraker; 1 daughter, Laura (Henry Freeman) Foraker; 7 grandchildren: Ava, Adrianna, Taylar, Briannah, Christian, Stephanie and Malik; and many other loving family members. He was preceded in death by a grandson, Nathan; and 12 brothers and sisters. A Memorial Service for George will be held on Saturday, July 8, 2017 at 10 am at the United Methodist Church, 800 W. Marshall Street, (Haws Ave. & Marshall St.) Norristown, PA. The family will receive relatives and friends on Saturday from 9 to 9:50 am, at the church.
