George Harrison

George E. Harrison III passed away on Tuesday, March 5, 2024, at Doylestown Hospital in Bucks County. He was 77 years old and a resident of Rydal, PA. George was born on August 23, 1946, in Philadelphia, PA, to the late George E. Jr. and Marie Harrison (nee Siciliano). He served in the U.S. Army in Korea during the Vietnam War era. George was a man of many talents and interests, from playing jazz drums to being an interior designer. As a skilled equestrian, he won many competition ribbons. He studied cabinetry at the Philadelphia College of Art, specializing in 18th and 19th-century furniture and architecture. For over thirty-five years, George was actively involved in collecting antiques and antique furniture. He specialized in Kittinger Furniture period reproductions made for Colonial Williamsburg and the White House. The interior of his home was featured in the magazine section of the Philadelphia Inquirer in 1982 for its precise replicas of Old Williamsburg. George was married to the late Linda G. Harrison (nee Happ) for 47 years. He is survived by seven cousins, Vincent Siciliano, Susan Peay, Joan Smart, James Siciliano, Jacqueline Siciliano, Diane Curtin, and Donna Marie Caven. A graveside service at Holy Cross Cemetery in Yeadon will be announced later. The Joseph McGoldrick Funeral Home has been entrusted with the arrangements. In lieu of flowers, contributions can be made to Morris Animal Rescue at 1242 Lombard St Phila 19147, or the SPCA.
