George Henry Mills, Jr.

George Henry Mills, Jr. passed away peacefully surrounded by his loving family on Thursday, January 15, 2026 at his residence in King of Prussia, PA. George grew up in Upper Darby, PA and graduated from Upper Darby High School, where he met his beloved wife at just 14 years old. George married the love of his life, Mary Ellen (Faust) at age 18 and had 53 wonderful years together. He worked for 42 years as a sales manager with Sears until his retirement. George enjoyed bowling, had a deep love for all kinds of music, and played the organ. He adored being with his family, especially during their annual trips to the Outer Banks, NC. George was truly a person anyone could count on and was “Grandpa” to so many.

Born in Darby, PA on June 23, 1954, he was a son of the late Dorothy Frances (Dougherty) and George Henry Mills, Sr.

In addition to his loving wife, Mary, he is survived by his son, George H. Mills, III (Michelle Neville); his daughter, Mary Kathryn “Kathy” Golden (Robert); his brother, Edward Mills; 8 grandchildren, Tyler Shepherd, Carmen Sanchez, Erica Mills, Jacob Mills, Sara Golden, Robert Golden Jr., Devin Golden, and Nathan Neville; 5 great grandchildren; as well as many other extended family members and friends.

Relatives and friends are invited to attend George’s viewing on Thursday, January 22, 2026 at The Bacchi Funeral & Crematory, 805 DeKalb St. Bridgeport, PA 19405, from 9am to 11am. His funeral service will begin at 11am. Interment in Calvary Cemetery, W. Conshohocken, PA.
