George C. Schreiber, Sr.

George C. Schreiber, Sr. passed away peacefully on Monday, June 11, 2012 at ManorCare Health Services in King of Prussia, PA. He was 81. Mr. Schreiber was a resident of Lehighton, PA. He worked as a firefighter for the Bethlehem Steel Company for 40 years. George was an avid old movie buff and a huge Yankee fan.Mr. Schreiber was a US Army veteran of the Korean Conflict.Born in Bethlehem, PA on March 12, 1931, he was a son of the late George E. and Stella A. (Kern) Schreiber. Surviving is his loving family including three daughters: Barbara Schreiber and her husband, James Pickens of King of Prussia, PA, Karen M. Moore of Houston, TX and Cindy E. Ohman and her husband, Kris of Sugar Land, TX; six grandchildren: Kristian, Tom, Conor, Bridget, Caitlin and Miles; three great-grandchildren: one nephew and one niece. He was preceded in death by a son, George C. Schreiber, Jr. and a brother, Jack.
