George Sedor

George Sedor passed away peacefully on Saturday, September 7, 2013, surrounded by his loving family at Towne Manor West in E. Norriton, Pa. He was 91. George was a resident of Swedesburg, PA. He worked as a welder and mechanic for the former Coppermen Welding in Norristown, PA and he also worked part time delivering auto parts in the area. He was a member of SS. Peter & Paul Ukrainian Catholic Church in Bridgeport, PA, the VFW Post 7878 in King of Prussia, PA and the Upper Merion Twp. Seniors Dancing.Mr. Sedor was a US Army veteran of WWII, serving from 1945 to 1947. Born in Swedeland, PA on February 8, 1922, he was a son of the late Michael and Anna (Laucosh) Sedor. Surviving is his loving family including his wife of 61 years, Marie R. (Quinlan) Sedor; a son, Mark F. Sedor and his wife, Margaret, of Swedeland, PA, a daughter, Judy Hoffman and her husband, Cliff, of Wall Twp., NJ; four grandchildren: Mark Sedor, Kimberly Dobron, Richard Kuhn and Jennifer Matthews; a great-granddaughter, Miranda Dobron; and many nephews and nieces. He was preceded in death by a son, Michael J. Sedor; a daughter, Georgine M. Blake; and many brothers and sisters. Relatives & friends are invited to George's Divine Liturgy at SS. Peter & Paul Ukrainian Catholic Church, 519 Union Ave., Bridgeport, PA 19405 on Thursday, September 12, 2013 at 10:00am. Officiating will be Msgr. Dr. Ronald Popivchak, Pastor. Interment will be in St. Augustine Cemetery, King of Prussia, PA. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made in George's memory to SS.
