Gerald Thomas Boyer, Sr.

Boyer, Gerald Thomas Sr. “Jerry”, 91 of Philadelphia, PA passed away peacefully on April 18, 2017. Beloved husband of the late Anne “Nancy” (nee McElwee). Jerry proudly served in the Navy during WWII and was a dedicated teacher for the city of Philadelphia. He was the Loving father of Gerald Jr. (Evelyn), Thomas (Reed Apaghian), Mary Ellen B. Mack, Anne B. Scoff (Barry), James L. (Kathleen) and the late Eileen Fallon (the late Robert).Dear brother of Sister Anna Marie SSJ, Leo W., and Sister Mary SSJ and the late Joseph and Robert. Devoted grandfather of 13 grandchildren and 3 great grandchildren. Relatives and friends are invited to his viewing on Saturday, April 22, 2017 from 8:30-9:45 AM and his funeral mass at 10 AM, both at Resurrection of Our Lord Church 2000 Shelmire Ave. Phila. PA 19152. His interment will be at Resurrection Cemetery in Bensalem, PA. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital 501 St. Jude Place Memphis, TN 38105. Arrangements entrusted to the Walter J. Meyers Funeral Home.
