Gerald "Jerry" C. Strouse

Gerald “Jerry” C. Strouse passed away peacefully on Wednesday, March 10, 2021 at his residence in King of Prussia, PA. He was 87. Jerry was a member of Sacred Heart Church in Bridgeport, PA. He served in the United States Army during the Korean War. He then worked at Deluxe Check Printers in Paoli, PA for over 33 years. Once he retired, he spent much of his time mowing lawns and landscaping, which he always enjoyed. He particularly loved working in his own yard. Jerry was an avid Philadelphia Phillies and Notre Dame fan. He loved playing cards with his grandkids, as well as solitare on his own. He was always very devoted to the Catholic Church. Jerry enjoyed drinking coffee and eating sweets, since he had such a sweet tooth. Most of all though, he loved spending time with family and friends and reminsicing on old times. Born in Norristown, PA, on May 6, 1933, he was a son of the late John O. and Katherine M. (George) Strouse. Surviving are his loving family including 3 sons: Tommy S. Strouse, Michael J. Strouse (Michael A. Alleva), and G. Anthony Strouse; 2 daughters, Terry A. Cannon and Kris K. Marquez (Tim); 6 grandchildren, Connor Carlton, Alexa Carlton, Amber Strouse, Alyssa Weber, Nick Roberts, and Edna Cannon; 2 brothers, George Strouse and John “Jackie” Strouse; 2 sisters, Geraldine Moley and Francina Capolingua; and many other loving family members. He is preceded in death by 4 sisters, Mary Perry, Katherine Ivey, Bernadette T. Catania, Roselie A. Partenheimer. Jerry’s Funeral Mass will be held at Sacred Heart Church, 120 Jefferson St., Bridgeport, PA on Wednesday, March 17, 2021 at 10:30 am. Social distancing and masks with be required. Interment at St. Augustine Cemetery, King of Prussia, PA. His Funeral Mass will be Live-Streamed starting Wednesday at 10:25 am.
