Gerald Patrick Jones

Gerald Patrick Jones, 74, of Somers Point, NJ, passed away on Sunday, March 30, 2025 at

Brookside Healthcare and Rehabilitation Center in Roslyn, PA. Gerald (Jerry) was born on April 26, 1950 in Abington, PA to the late Mary Theresa (Mullen) and Francis Joseph Jones. He was preceded in death by his brothers Bud (Joanne) and Larry.

He was the husband of the late Kathy (Keenan) Jones and is survived by his sister Mary Ann (Bill) Hoyt and many nieces, nephews and cousins.

Growing up in Jenkintown, PA, Jerry was a 1968 graduate of Bishop McDevitt High School. In 1970, Jerry joined the US Army and served his country proudly during the Vietnam War in the 101st Airborne Division. In 1979 he married his true love Kathy and moved to Somers Point, NJ, where he worked as a cook at a family luncheonette, a passion he pursued his entire life.

A service in memory of Jerry will be held Saturday, June 7th at 10:30 am at Immaculate Conception Church, 602 West Ave. Jenkintown, PA. Relatives and friends will be invited to his visitation from 9:15- 10:15 AM also at Immaculate Conception Church.
