Gerald J. Kunz

Gerald J. Kunz age 72 of Audubon passed away suddenly on Thursday, February 27, 2025 at his home. Born in Norristown, Pa to the late Gerald B. and Eleanor S. (nee Dusza) Kunz.

Jerry served in the National Guard. Jerry was employed by Certainteed for 31 years where he worked as a HVAC-R mechanic. Jerry had many hobbies over the years; he enjoyed playing golf all year round with his friends, he was an avid runner, practiced Tai Chi, enjoyed skiing and was a founding member of the Black Rock Ski Club, he coached youth sports including baseball and ice hockey, and he was a Den Leader for Cub Scouts. Jerry was a loving husband, brother, father, and grandfather, and enjoyed being around his family as much as possible. Jerry was the definition of a true family man. Jerry had a way of bringing humor to every situation and could always be found with a video camera in hand documenting every moment. Jerry was always looking out for other people and would always lend a hand to anyone in need. He will truly be missed.

He is survived by his wife, Jean Marie (nee Greco) Kunz; 2 children, Lindsay J. McHugh (Corey), and Andrew G. (Alexandra); 9 siblings, Kathleen Bintner, Mary Rodeheaver (Bob), Theresa Hoffman (Ron), Diane Hoffman (Rick), Joanne Kunz, Joseph Kunz, John Kunz (Kim), Jim Kunz (Rhonda), and Carolyn Stenger; 4 grandchildren, Owen, Kieran, Annalise, and baby Kunz; also survived by many nieces and nephews.

Family and friends are invited to attend a viewing from 10:15 to 11:15 am on Friday, March 7, 2025 at Visitation BVM Church, 196 N. Trooper Rd., Norristown, Pa 19403. A Funeral Mass will follow at 11:30 am in the church. Interment will follow in St. Patrick Cemetery.

In lieu of flowers contributions in Gerald’s name may be made to: Saint Jude’s, Ronald McDonald House Charities, or a charity of your choosing.
