Raised in the Logan section of Philadelphia, she attended Holy Child School and Little Flower Catholic High School, where she served as the famed “Flossie”, Leader of the Little Flower Cheerleading Team. After graduating from high school, Gerrie taught kindergarten at Gwynedd Mercy Academy. She married the absolute love of her life, Thomas J. Breslin, on April 7, 1958 at Saint Luke the Evangelist Church in Glenside, PA. Gerrie was the founder and matriarch of Breslin’s Consignment Corner in Jenkintown, an enterprise that celebrated her business skills and entrepreneurial spirit as well as her love and comfort for all people. Our Mom, Wife, Nanny and Sister was a person who valued deeply the love of family and friends. She treasured entertaining, especially in her home, and had a special gift that made all who met her feel welcome, valued and loved. She instilled in all of us a deep love of the beach in Ocean City and the family home “Nice ‘n Red”. If Gerrie held your hands the way she held ours, you and she will be forever blessed.
