Gertrude Cecelia Mcveigh

​Gertrude Cecelia Nelson McVeigh, 90, of Montgomery County, PA died Saturday, December 12, 2015. She was born to the late Craig A. and Gertrude Nelson, July 24, 1925, in Philadelphia, PA.  Gerry graduated from Little Flower High School in 1943.  She married the late Patrick James F. McVeigh in 1947.  They lived together in Plymouth Valley, PA before relocating to Umatilla, Fl in 1971.  Gerry loved her large family and spent much time in both PA and FL after her husband died in 1995. Gerry is preceded in death by her son John in 1974 and her husband Jim 1995.   Gerry is  survived by her brother Anthony (Monica) Nelson of Cheltenham, PA and  eight of her nine children:  James (Jayne) McVeigh of Schwenksville, PA; Kathleen McVeigh of Montgomery County, PA; Dennis McVeigh of Oaks, PA;  Colleen (Daniel) Halstead of Weirsdale, FL;  Janeen (Steve) Covert of Astor, FL; Patrick McVeigh of Umatilla, FL; Maureen Hatcher of Lady Lake, FL;  Sean (Cindy) McVeigh of Eustis, FL; 19 grandchildren; 19 great-grandchildren; 6 great-great-grandchildren.
