Gilbert G. Clarke

Gilbert G. “Gil” Clarke Jr. passed away peacefully on Saturday, March 4, 2017 at the Thomas Jefferson University Hospital in Philadelphia, PA. He was 65. Mr. Clarke was a resident of King of Prussia, PA. He worked as a supervisor for the former Orinoka Mills in Philadelphia, PA. Gil enjoyed Villanova basketball, music, coin collecting, sailing, the ocean, and going to Stone Harbor. He loved gardening but most of all, he loved spending time with his grandchildren. Born in Philadelphia, PA on January 5, 1952, he was a son of Barbara (MacClausland) Clarke of West Chester, PA and the late Gilbert G. Clarke, Sr. Surviving is his loving family including his mother; his wife of 44 years, Joan (Nicholson) Clarke; a daughter, Liz (Brad) Collins of King of Prussia, PA; two grandchildren, Ryan & Olivia Collins; five brothers: John (Nona) Clarke of West Chester, PA, Jeff (Sandra) Clarke of Maple Shade, NJ, Steven (Karen) Clarke of Havertown, PA, Chris (Julianne) Clarke of Malvern, PA and Mike (Sara) Clarke of Tampa, FL; three sisters: Barbara Anne Clarke of West Chester, PA, Malou (Bill) Fletcher of Jupiter, FL and Lisa Clarke (Robin Clark) of Durham, NC; and many other loving family members. He was preceded in death by two sons, Erik and Sean Clarke Gil’s Memorial Service will be held at The Bacchi Funeral Home & Crematory, Ltd., 805 DeKalb St. (Rt. 202), Bridgeport, PA on Saturday, March 11, 2017 at 11:00 am. The family will receive relatives and friends on Saturday from 10 to 11:00 am. Interment will be private.
