Gilbert P. Condon age 87 of Audubon PA passed away peacefully of natural causes with family by his side on December 14th, 2024. Born in Waterville NY on February 9, 1937, Gil graduated from Utica College with a degree in Engineering. In 1961 he began his career as an aerospace engineer at GE in Utica, NY. The family moved to Daytona Beach FL in 1969 where he worked on the NASA space program during its formative years. In 1976 the family relocated to Audubon, Pa where he worked for GE/ Lockheed Martin until his reluctant retirement in 2017 at the age of 80.

He was also a member of the Lower Providence Optimist Club for over 30 years, delivering holiday meals and supporting many local schools and charities.
Family was always his top priority. To celebrate the 4th of July, he made it a point to return to his roots of upstate NY. While visiting, highlights included relaxing at Lake Marion, harvesting vegetables, watching the parade go by, and swimming in the Oriskany Creek. For those he could not see, he posted many photos, recipes, and opinions and memories on Facebook, enjoyed by everyone ,,, ,,,,
Gil loved to travel and was proud of his Irish heritage. He traveled to Ireland multiple times, locating ruins of former Condon castles in County cork. Perhaps this is what led to his great interest in farming and gardening, which is now shared by his children.

He is survived by brother Bernard Condon (Lillian), daughters Colleen Grzywacz (Steve), Karen Price (Earl), and Patricia Condon.
