Giovanna (Palma) Milano

On December 22, 2022, Giovanna (Palma) Milano passed away peacefully at her home in Eagleville, PA. She was born on July 24, 1942, in Italy to the late Gennaro and Elvira (Intelligenza) Palma.

Giovanna was raised and educated in a convent and traveled around Italy with her mother superior where she learned many trades. She was a talented seamstress, enjoyed crocheting and loved cooking and baking for her family and friends. She was a dedicated mother first and foremost. She treasured her children and embraced every moment with them. She especially loved her role as Nonna Gina.

Giovanna was predeceased by her parents and her two brothers, Salvatore Palma and Raffaele Diana. She is survived by her loving husband of 60 years Salvatore Milano which she married on October 21, 1962. Her two children Giovanni Milano & Salvatrice (Tina) Giangiulio, and son-in-law Nicola Giangiulio. Her four adoring grandchildren, Adele Giangiulio and her husband Alec Duong, Mirco Giangiulio, and Gennaro & Giovanni Milano. Her brother Antonio Diana, sister-in-law Catherine Diana, sister Nunzia (Diana) Valenza, brother-in-law Dominique Valenza, and her two sisters-in-law Pasqualina Palma and Michela Diana. As well as many nephews, nieces and friends in Italy, France and America.

Family and friends are invited to attend a viewing on December 29, 2022, at Visitation BVM Church, 196 N. Trooper Road, Norristown, PA 19403 from 9:30 am to 10:45 am followed by a mass. Interment will be held at Riverside Cemetery, 200 S. Montgomery Avenue, Norristown, PA 19403.
