Gloria J. (Gambone) Scandone

Gloria J. (Gambone) Scandone passed away peacefully on Friday, April 19, 2013 at Einstein Medical Center Montgomery in E. Norriton, PA. She was 79. Mrs. Scandone was a resident of Bridgeport, PA. She was a member of Our Lady of Mount Carmel Church in Bridgeport, PA, where she was an annual feast worker.Born in Norristown, PA on May 24, 1933, she was a daughter of the late Anthony and Anna (Pitocchi) Gambone. She was the wife of the late Carmen G. Scandone, Jr., who died in 2006. Surviving is her loving family including a son, Carmen G. Scandone, III and his wife, Sherry, of E. Norriton, PA; a daughter, Anna Marie Singer and her husband, Jim, of Collegeville, PA; a brother, Jesse Gambone and his wife, Betty, of Norristown, PA; many nephews and nieces. She was "Mom Mom" to four grandchildren: Lisa & Jimmy Singer and Angela & Gina Scandone; and a grand-dog, Buddy. She was preceded in death by two brothers, Robert and Jerry Gambone; and a sister, Roe Gambone.Relatives & friends are invited to Gloria's Funeral Mass at Our Lady of Mount Carmel Church, 502 Ford St., Bridgeport, PA 19405 on Wednesday, April 24, 2013 at 10:00 am. Her viewings will be Tuesday evening from 6 to 8 pm, at The Bacchi Funeral Home and Crematory, Ltd., 805 DeKalb St. (Rt. 202), Bridgeport, PA 19405; also Wednesday morning from 9 to 9:50 am, at the church.
