Grace M. (Harrison) Mcallister

Grace M. (Harrison) McAllister passed away peacefully on Friday, May 28, 2010, surrounded by her loving family at Broomall Presbyterian Village in Broomall, PA. She was 87. Mrs. McAllister was a former resident of King of Prussia, PA. She worked as a sales associate for JC Penney's for 24 years. Grace was a member of Valley Forge Presbyterian Church in King of Prussia, PA. She was also a member of the Leisure Hour Club of the United Methodist Church in Bryn Mawr, and the Wynnewood Bowling League. Grace loved bowling and golf. Born in Bryn Mawr, PA on September 12, 1922, she was a daughter of the late William Powell Harrison and Wilhelmina (Stong) Harrison. She was the wife of the late Daniel B. McAllister, Sr., who died in 1988. Surviving are her loving family including three sons: Daniel B. McAllister, Jr. of Upper Pottsgrove Twp., PA, William H. McAllister and his wife, Jan of Bolivia, NC and Thomas M. McAllister and his companion, Linda Mackin of Warwick Twp., PA; a daughter, Marjorie H. Godri and her husband, John of Norristown PA; four grandchildren: Kelly, Suzanne, William and Danica; four great-grandchildren; a sister, Jean Ryan and her husband, Paul of Berwyn, PA; and many nephews and nieces. She was preceded in death by four brothers and sisters: William Harrison, Anna Lodge, Walter "Mike" Harrison and Wilhelmina "Willy" Dosch. Relatives and friends are invited to her Funeral Service at Valley Forge Presbyterian Church, 191 Town Center Rd., King of Prussia, PA 19406 on Wednesday, June 2, 2010 at 10:00am. Her viewing will be Wednesday morning from 8:30 to 9:20am, at The Bacchi Funeral Home & Crematory, Ltd., 805 DeKalb St. (Rt. 202) Bridgeport, PA 19405. Interment will be in Valley Forge Memorial Gardens, King of Prussia, PA.In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made in Grace's memory to Life Choice Hospice, 437 Pennsylvania Ave., Fort Washington, PA 19034.
