Born in the marriage of Gustav A Widmann II and Mary Katherine Flood, Gustav A. Widmann III “Gus” passed in peace on November 1, 2021 following a brief illness. He is preceded in death by his beloved spouse Helen, he leaves his son Gus Widmann IV, daughters; Joanne (Jay) DeGriolamo, Theresa Rinker, Donna Widmann, Jeannine Widmann (Naomi Siegel), and five grandchildren, John (Emily) DeGirolamo. Rich (Jessica) DeGirolamo, Joanna Rinker, Bobby Rinker and Eliel Siegel-Widmann and loving nieces and nephews and their families. Born in the Logan section of Philadelphia, Gus graduated from Northeast Catholic High School for Boys in 1952, then immediately entered the U.S. Marine Corp, giving five years of service. After his service, he went on to start a 30 year career with the Metropolitan Life Insurance Company. Following his retirement he joined the Toner Organization for an additional 23 years. During that time he served over 40 years at Visitation BVM Parrish on the Finance Committee and various others capacities. Family and friends are invited to attend a viewing at Visitation BVM Roman Catholic Church, 196 N. Trooper Road, Norristown, PA., Friday, November 5, 2021 from 9:50 am to 10:50 am followed by mass at 11:00 am. Interment will be at St. Augustine Cemetery 175 W Dekalb Pike, King of Prussia, PA., 12:30 pm.
