Harold Duane Corn

August 18, 1936 — April 12, 2025

Harold ‘Duane’ Corn, 88, of Bensalem, PA, passed away peacefully on Saturday, April 12, 2025. Born on August 18, 1936, in Hendersonville, NC, Duane was the beloved son of the late Lois Anne (Holbert) and Harold Samuel Corn. He was the devoted husband of the late Barbara Jane (Morgan) Corn.

Duane proudly served his country as a Sergeant in the U.S. Marines. Following his military service, he built a career in civil engineering, contributing his skills and dedication to his work, both in the USA, and many different countries abroad. His career led to him and wife Barbara living in South Africa, Saudi Arabia, and Kuwait during the 1980’s. They had the misfortune of residing in Kuwait during the Iraqi invasion of 1990 and found themselves trapped as hostages for nearly six months before being freed.

Upon retirement, Duane pursued a new hobby in painting; an endeavor of which he excelled, producing a copious number of outstanding paintings, some of which won prestigious awards. An avid musician, he found joy in playing the guitar, a passion he carried throughout his life. In recent years he enjoyed regular jam sessions and public performances with a group of musician friends.

Duane is survived by his loving sons, Marlin Duane (Joann) and Jeffrey Arthur; cherished grandchildren, Marlin Jeffery Sr. (Trista Hilferty) and Emily Diane (Edward O’Donnell); and adored great-grandchildren, Carlee Duval, Benjamin, Delaney, Tayah, and Marlin Jeffery Jr., and sisters, Sharron Lee Vintson (Corn) and Liane Mariea Corn. He is also survived by his devoted companion, Helen Londergan, whose love and support enriched his later years.

Duane, Dad, Pop-pop, Uncle Duane will be deeply missed by all who had the privilege of knowing him.
