Hedwidge "Eddie" Edwin Rivas

Hedwidge Edwin “Eddie” Rivas, age 84 from Wilmington, De passed away on July 18, 2026. Eddie was born on October 16, 1941 in Trinidad and Tobago to the late Victor Rivas and Baltola Rivas.

Eddie attended Mt. St. Benedict’s Roman Catholic School. One of his favorite things to do as a child was play soccer. While living in Trinidad and Tobago Eddie worked at Bata Shoe Store, Tunapuna; Tunapuna County Council Regional Co-operation; Caricargo Caribbean Company Limited, Piarco International Airport. Once Eddie was granted his citizenship in the United States his last place of employment was at Christiana Care Hospital in Delaware.

Eddie is survived by his two daughters, Ishar Dixon and Tiffaney R. Mohammed; son-in-law: Jeremy J. Dixon; four grandchildren: Joshua-Jair E. Mohammed, Micha J. Dixon, Angelis C. Dixon, and Harmony R.M. Dixon; 3 sisters: Josephine Cumberbatch, Paulina Rivas, and Cathrine Gidarree; ex-wife: Jennifer P. Gonzales; Companion of many years: Ms. Barbara; and three grand fur babies: Caesar, Kairo, and Thor.

He is preceded in death by his two sisters, Stella Greaves an Alphonsin Defoe.
