Helen L. (Geilfuss) Collins, 93, of Ambler, PA, passed away peacefully on Wednesday, June 21, 2017, at Spring House Estates, in Lower Gwynedd. She was the beloved widow of Thomas J. Collins. Helen was born in Philadelphia, PA on July 1, 1923, a daughter of the late Helen (Canney) and William F. Geilfuss, Sr. and sister of the late Dorothy G. Bach. She served in the U.S. Marines as a Sgt. in the Korean War. She also served in the U.S. Marines as a Cpl. in WW II She was a Teacher and was affiliated with MCCC. Helen was a life time member of the American Legion. Helen is survived by her loving brother William F. Geilfuss, Jr. (Katie Moser), and her dear nieces and nephews: William F Geilfuss, III (Theresa), the late David B. Geilfuss (survived by Marta) and Merritt Lynn Geilfuss. She is the great aunt of Marta McKenzie and William M. Geilfuss. A Funeral Mass will be celebrated at 10:30 AM on Tuesday, August 1st at Immaculate Conception BVM Church in Jenkintown, PA. Family will receive friends from 9:30 to 10 AM on Tuesday, August 1, 2017 at the Joseph J. McGoldrick Funeral Home, 507 West Ave. in Jenkintown, PA. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Deborah Heart & Lung Center 212 Trenton Rd Browns Mills, NJ 08015. Her Interment will be at St. John Neumann Cemetery.
