Helen H. (Hallman) Erb

Helen H. (Hallman) Erb passed away peacefully on Thursday, June 6, 2013 at Season's Hospice in Phoenixville, PA. She was 94. Mrs. Erb was a resident of Collegeville, PA. She worked as a stenographer for the Norristown State Hospital for 35 years, until her retirement in 1985. Helen was a member of Grace Lutheran Church in Norristown, PA. She was an avid Phillies fan and she loved her cats. Born in Philadelphia, PA on October 14, 1918, she was a daughter of the late Ambrose F. and Helen (Bassford) Hallman. Surviving is her loving family including a son, William E. McCabe of Collegeville, PA; six grandchildren: David, Debbie, Dawn, April, William and Lauren; ten great-grandchildren; a sister, Martha Fellman of Harrisburg, NC; and many nephews and nieces.Helen was preceded in death by her first husband, William E. McCabe, Sr., who died in 1977; her second husband, George H. "Erbie" Erb, who died in 2004; a daughter, Dorothy H. DuTot; four brothers: Albert F., George, John L. and Paul I. Hallman; and a sister, Dorothy Hallman. Relatives & friends are invited to Helen's Funeral Service at The Bacchi Funeral Home and Crematory, Ltd., 805 DeKalb St., (Rt. 202), Bridgeport, PA 19405 on Tuesday, June 11, 2013 at 11:00 am. Her viewing will be on Tuesday morning from 10 to 10:50 am, at the funeral home.
