Helen (Nichols) Laskaris

Helen (Nichols) Laskaris passed away suddenly on Tuesday, August 14, 2012 at her residence in King of Prussia, PA. She was 91. Mrs. Laskaris was a member of St. Sophia Greek Orthodox Church in Jeffersonville, PA. Born in New Castle, PA on April 16, 1921, she was a daughter of the late Michael and Freda (Manolas) Nikolopolis. She was the wife of the late Leon W. Laskaris, who died in 2005. Surviving is her loving family including three sons: Dean W. Laskaris and his wife, Nina, of Wayne, PA, Michael A. Laskaris and his wife, Debra, of Collegeville, PA and Philip S. Laskaris and his wife, Krystal, of Philadelphia, PA; two daughters, Freda E. Lutz and her husband, Franny, of Bridgeport, PA and Dr. Alice M. Laskaris-Kotala and her husband, Dr. Stanley Kotala, of Altoona, PA; seven grandchildren: Steven, Kristen, Mark, Helena, Karyn, Kaitlyn and Anna Eleni; two great-grandchildren, Rebecca and Kevin; and many nephews and nieces. She was preceded in death by three brothers: Louis, Peter and Dean Nichols. Relatives & friends are invited to Helen's Funeral Service at St. Sophia Greek Orthodox Church, 900 S. Trooper Rd., Jeffersonville, PA 19403 on Saturday, August 18, 2012 at 10:00 am. Officiating will be Father Peter Thornburg, Pastor. Her viewing will be Saturday morning from 8:30 to 9:50 am, at the church. Interment will be in Valley Forge Memorial Gardens, King of Prussia, PA.In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made in Helen's memory to the St. Sophia Greek Orthodox Church Building Fund, 900 S.
