Helen Elizabeth McConomy

Helen E. McConomy, 103, of Jenkintown, Pennsylvania, passed away peacefully on Thursday, July 23, 2026, at Abington Hospital.

Born in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, on April 9, 1923, Helen was the daughter of the late Gladys Curtis and Louis Koenig. She was the beloved wife of the late James F. W. McConomy, Jr.

Helen worked as a clerk for McNeil Consumer Products, a division of Johnson and Johnson before retiring on February 1, 1992. Throughout her long life, she was devoted to her family and will be remembered for her kindness, quiet strength, and unwavering love for those closest to her.

She was the loving mother of James McConomy III (Margie Lythgoe) of Horsham, Pennsylvania, and the late Steven McConomy. Helen was the cherished grandmother of Shannon Barabin (Michael) and Kelly Duval (Jay), and the proud great-grandmother of Hailey, Jaydon, Devvin, and Braden. She was also blessed to be the great-great-grandmother of Carter, Cohen, and Declan. She is also survived by her niece, Linda Potts (Mark) and her cousin, Dr. William Curtis, as well as many extended family members and friends who will fondly remember her.

Relatives and friends are invited to her viewing from 10:00 to 11:00 a.m., followed by her Religious Service at 11:00 a.m. both held on Friday, July 31, 2026, at the Joseph J. McGoldrick Funeral Home, 507 West Avenue, Jenkintown, PA. Her interment will follow at Hillside Cemetery.
