Helen D. Romano (née Gayser) passed away peacefully on Thursday, September 28, 2023 at Einstein Medical Center in E. Norriton, PA, surrounded by her loving family. She was 92. Helen was the wife of the late William G. Romano, Sr., who passed away in 2007.
She was an avid reader of romance novels, faithfully watched her soap operas, and was a huge Phillies and Eagles fan, even though she could not always remember the players’ correct names. After moving in with her daughter and granddaughter, she grew to love the family cat who slept on her lap often.
Born in Conshohocken, PA on March 10, 1931, she was a daughter of the late John Montgomery and Della (Culp) Gayser.
Surviving is her loving family including two sons, John Romano and his wife, Linda, and David Romano; her daughter, Mary Kay Buono; 6 grandchildren; 7 great grandchildren; her sister, Gladys; as well as many nieces, nephews, great nieces and great nephews.
She is preceded in death by her son, William Romano, Jr., her son-in-law, Anthony Buono and her brother, Charles Gayser, Sr.
The family will receive visitors at The Szpindor-Meyers Funeral Home 101 N. Park Ave. Trooper, PA 19403 on Monday, October 16th from 10am to 11:30pm followed by words of remembrance. Inurnment will follow at St. Patrick Cemetery, E. Norriton, PA.
