Helen Rita (Keohane) Taylor, age 77 of Dushore, PA died at home on March 8, 2015 with her husband, Norman, of 52 years by her side. Helen was born in Norristown, PA on January 2, 1937 the youngest child of the late James Francis & Alice Hogarty Keohane and attended St. Francis of Assisi grammar school in Norristown before attending West Catholic High School for girls in Philadelphia where she graduated with the Class of 1954. After graduating from high school Helen was employed by Bell Telephone and on September 23, 1961 married William Norman Taylor of Phoenixville, PA at the St Francis of Assisi Catholic Church in Norristown. Helen and Norman established residence in the Audubon, PA area where they resided for 40 years before relocating to Dushore to build their dream house. Helen left the employee of Bell Telephone at the end of fourteen (14) years after being injured in a non-work related car accident. After recovering from her injuries Helen began to work for St. Theresa of Avila Catholic Church in the Valley Forge as Office Manager and worked at that position until her relocation to Dushore. She attended Biblical Studies at St. Charles Borromeo Seminary in the Philadelphia area and loved to read the Bible her entire life. As a member of St. Theresa of Avila and St. Basil’s church, Helen was a Eucharistic Minister, Cantor, Choir Member and conducted classes for those interested in entering the Catholic Faith. Though not formerly “employed” by St. Basil’s Church in Dushore, Helen worked tirelessly at home providing administrative support and scheduling activities for the parish. In addition to her husband of who is at home Helen is survived by Brothers James & Joanne Keohane of Treasure Island FL, John & Nancy Keohane of Trooper PA, William & Eleanor Keohane of Elysburg, PA, Brother-in-Law Robert Feeney of Norristown PA and Marshall Barkman of Phoenixville, PA. Helen is also survived by five (5) nieces and nephews who reside in the Norristown area. Besides her parents Helen is predeceased by her 12 year old sister Margaret Mary, Alice (Keohane) Feeney of Norristown PA and her Sister-in-Law Joan (Taylor) Barkman of Phoenixville, PA A memorial Mass officiated by Father Wild will be held at St. Teresa of Avila Church in Norristown, on April 22,2015 at 10 AM. Interment will follow at St. Patricks’ cemetery. In lieu of flowers friends and family members are requested to make a donation to the Little Sister of the Poor at any one of the following locations: 140 Shepherds Lane, Totowa, New Jersey, 07512-2170 - 5300 Chester Ave, Philadelphia PA 19143-4929 -2500 Adams Ave, Scranton, PA 18509-1515 A memorial Mass officiated by Father Wild will be held at St. Teresa of Avila Church in Norristown, on April 22,2015 at 10 AM.
