Helen Ann Wusinich

Helen Ann (Murphy) Wusinich passed away peacefully on Tuesday, May 12, 2020, at her home in Wayne, PA. She was 78. Mrs. Wusinich was a former longtime resident of King of Prussia, PA. She was in the first graduating class of Archbishop Prendergast High School, where she and her friends founded the Beta Omega Phi Sorority. Helen earned an Associate’s Degree in Nursing from Gwynedd Mercy College and her special love for children drew her to work for many years at St. Edmond’s Home for Children. She was a longtime parishioner of Mother of Divine Providence Church in King of Prussia and a current member of St. Isaac Jogues Church in Wayne. Helen was an active member of the Glenhardie Country Club, where she participated in the women’s golf league and bridge club. Born in Philadelphia, PA on April 15, 1942, she was the daughter of the late John W. and Gertrude (Burke) Murphy; and the wife of the late James R. Wusinich, Sr., who died in 1999. Surviving is her children including two sons, James R. (Lori) Wusinich and Michael (Colleen) Wusinich; and three daughters: Helen (Mark) Milligan, Sr. Mary Elizabeth SV and Karen (Tim) Loomis. Her ten grandchildren were the light of her life: Meagan, Nicholas, Hayley, Ryan, Michael, Aidan, Patrick, Olivia, Allison and Caitlin. Helen is also survived by a brother, John (Kathleen) Murphy; two sisters, Maureen Dougherty and Sr. Sheila Murphy RSM; and many other loving family members. She was preceded in death by a sister, Karen Murphy. Funeral services and interment are private at the request of the family. Service will be livestreamed on Friday, May 15, 2020, starting at 9 am until the end of Mass; and again starting around 11:45 am, for the Graveside Service.
