Herbert H. Howald

Herbert “Herb” Howald, 87, husband of Joanne Williams Howald passed away Wednesday, September 20, 2023, at his residence surrounded by his loving family. Loving father of Herbert Jr. (Lorraine), Cynthia Razzi (Robert), Kathleen Laigaie (George), Christopher (Anita), Alan (Amy), and Matt (Cheryl). Also survived by 18 grandchildren,18 great grandchildren, and predeceased one grandchild.

Herb was born in Abington, PA on February 21, 1936, a son of the late Ida (Jenkins) and George Howald. He was predeceased by three sisters and two brothers.

He served in the U.S. Army from 1955 to 1959, achieving the rank of Specialist. After being honorably discharged from the Army, he spent most of his career working as a credit manager for PECO Energy. Herb enjoyed spending time with his family and friends, time at the shore, traveling, having breakfast with his buddies, cryptogram puzzles and following Philadelphia sports.

Relatives and friends are invited to his viewing on Saturday, September 30th from 9:30-10:45 AM followed by his funeral mass at 11 AM both at the Redeemer Sisters’ Chapel, 521 Moredon Rd. Huntingdon Valley, PA 19006.
